Your Eyes Move Your Eardrums
« on: January 27, 2018, 11:58:15 AM »
I never knew this and found it interesting. As I read the article, I moved my eyes way left and way right, and thanks to a couple thousand hours underwater, my sensitive (aka damaged) eardrums (at least the right one) "clicked" as I did so. It's a fascinating evolutionary modification though, if the theory holds true.

I'm certain that it's nothing but a coincidence, with no purpose and no important. It couldn't possibly be a suggestion of intelligent design ...

I can hear it, too.  And now I can never unhear it.

I can't hear anything beyond the tinnitus.  It's screaming tonight.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

Funny. Mine has been in the background for probably weeks, but over the last few days has also been rather irritating.

Maybe tinnitus is not really tinnitus, and we're just the ones who can hear the alien invasion force as they phase into our universe.  =D

Ditto.  I've learned to ignore the hissing/ringing noise until someone mentions hearing and BOOM there it is.
