An acquaintance of mine has a gun store. I was talking with him the other day, and he asked if I knew any dealers who would want to buy a couple of hundred police trade-ins.
I told him I'd ask around. Then it struck me that, if I help facilitate a sale like that, there should be something in it for me.
Any suggestions or opinions?

Opinions? As in what do we think of you getting a fee?
I think you should, absolutely. You are going to help him make money by facilitating a buyer for the guns. The buyer is probably going to get a decent deal he can turn and make a good profit. Its a win for all.
As for a fee, I think percentage of the gross might be the way to go, say 2.5%?

Ask for a freebie or three...

*cough* THR group buy and/or giveaway *cough*

Finch, a THR group buy is a great idea. If there were enough people in on it, I'm sure we could get a much better price.

Get hold of me and I'll likely buy the lot and you can have a freebie, after the paperwork, of course.
I am a licensed FFL holder.

A group buy would be wonderful...
Assuming we know what's been traded-in beforehand. (Hint, hint)

Yeah, APS group buy!

"Assuming we know what's been traded-in beforehand. (Hint, hint)"
I don't understand.
(Edit). OK, I'm dense today. There's S&W 4006's, 5906's, 6906's, and Beretta 96 and 96D's.
Shipping would be UPS overnight, $35 flat fee.
I just have to find out what the seller wants for the bunch.
