I don't know why people were complaining about New Orleans confiscating guns during Hurricane Katrina. It's obvious that Nagin is a firearms enthusiast:

I wouldn't care who it was, if someone covered me with the muzzle like that, I'd reflexively slap it away from me or get out of the way, then yell a good bit of profanity at them to never, ever do that again.

Interesting -- the article mentions how the Times-Picayune apologized for their terrible error depicting Nagin as unsafe, yet mentions:
