Though I still think that the man who was forced to marry the woman whom he raped was pretty funny.
You see, the court proceeded to turn around and grant her a divorce with half his assets, to include his pension.
Their laws might be FUBARed in some ways, but when they're willing to get creative justice of a sort can still be served.

Amazing that an eight year old child was able to do what a lot of grown women can't: leave a bad marriage.

The scary part to me is that the marriage was 'consumated'. Here in the states that'd equal a prison sentence.

The girl should be beaten, she is attempting to leave her husband. Worse, any future man she commits sin with will be committing adultery! We cannot allow such a corruption of our values! The child must be publicly whipped, 100 lashes, then sent back to her husband to perform her proper wifely duties. If she is unable to please her husband, he is within his rights to beat her, and bring in new wives and force her to watch him pleased properly, so she knows how to do it right.
