Didn't catch anything, but had a good time.

From what I've heard of this kid, you could always let her hold one of these to hit a fish with if you landed one:

Couldn't do any harm. Right? smiley

She doesn't look evil.

I assume she was using Mike as an anchor or had just finished clubbing him with an oar?

 grin

You have good taste in fishing partners, I can't wait to go with my goddaughter.

I see she's growed a bit...  grin

Remember Mike, the bigger she gets the more wallop she'll pack...  cheesy

I was going to ask if that was Mike's foot getting ready to kick her out of the raft?

And the bigger she gets, the more likely I am to start hitting back...

She's not evil!  Irwin just brings out the best in her!
Chris we need to get the familia's together again, burn some red meat and let the kiddos play.  I'll shoot you some dates.

Looks like she had a blast.  Scott and Amelia have had a blast fishing.  Next time I'm trying Burke Lake Park.

Absolutely.

Burke Lake is a nice place.  I haven't fished there in a few years though.  They have jon boat rentals (can also rent a motor) and a bike trail.  The bike path isn't the slightest bit technical,  you could ride it on a cross bike.

Abby was rather disapointed she didn't catch a fish.

Learned a few things myself:
That boat is too small for two people fishing, especially if one doesn't know NOT to flail around with a hook.  Next time I'll only navigate and she can fish.

I need an anchor in anything but still water.

"I need an anchor in anything but still water."

Odd.

I'd have thought your enormous ass would have served as the perfect anchor...

That's funny, I was thinking they might get you a pair of cement shoes and use YOU for the anchor...   laugh

That's what I was thinking.  I may even have a partial bag of concrete at home.  If not, a cheap "mushroom" anchor will be good enough.

Chris, I've got about half a bag of 5-year-old quickcrete that humidity has turned into a stone.  You can have it, of you want it.  Use it as an anchor, or tie it to Irwin before you throw him overboard.

I've also found that a big heavy lump of concrete tied to a kid's ankle slows them down enough that you don't have to run as fast to get away from them.  (Or to catch up with them, depending upon their temperament, and your own).

You could just learn to cast so your daughter would be safe.  laugh
