82% of McCain supporters say that the Court should rule based on what's in the constitution. 

Only 29% of Obama supporters say the Court should rule based on constitution.

65% say that the Court justices rule based on their own personal political agendas.

What is even more scary is that the Dems think that SCOTUS does rule based on the Constitution but think they shouldn't.

I think the justification of that belief was seen in the rulings that the liberal justices issued in the Heller case.

I think Stevens dissent (I think it was his) could be summed by the phrase "I think it might be bad to overturn the law." Sure as hell wasn't based on much else.
