Title: www.GunVoter.org - 100% dedicated to electing pro-gun candidates at all levels
Post by: learn2shoot on October 20, 2008, 02:16:29 PM
I am working with Jeff Knox to get a GunVoter website running with a little more activity. As the election gets a little closer we need to be sure that we inform ourselves not on the Presidential election, but to all levels. Please forward this to every gun owner you know because if an anti-gun president joins forces with a anti-gun Congress your guns will be targeted. Take a few minutes and get informed.
Below is a press release from GVDO.

A new web site, www.GunVoter.org, is seeking assistance from organizations and individuals who have information about state and local candidates in the upcoming elections. Information can be about a single candidate or a list of candidates and links to sources or additional information are encouraged.

GunVoter.org is designed to be a central clearinghouse and repository of information about candidates and legislative matters to help GunVoters cast their votes wisely. Along with areas for comment on federal matters, there are forum areas for each of the 50 states. Anyone can use, read, and post on GunVoter.org and everyone is encouraged to help improve this resource to make it more useful as the 2008 elections draw closer and for future elections.

GunVoter.org is a non-partisan, single-issue, user-driven website and is a project of Neal Knox Associates and The Firearms Coalition.

Ok, this is somewhat conspicuous in the wake of all the spam posts we have endured at APS over the last 24 hours.

Those spam posts, appearing at the rate of one every 10 seconds or so, have been advertising another pro-gun, conservative forum.

So you'll excuse me if I watch this post, and the poster, with a raised eyebrow.

Why (another) new pro-gun, GunVoter website so late in the game, with just a couple weeks left?

Doesn't make a lot of sense...

The only reason I left this up is because I know Jeff, as does Mtnbkr, and I knew Jeff's father from my days at NRA.

Yeah, Jeff is a familiar face to us.

I know who Jeff Knox is, and who his late father was.

That's why I gave the OP the benefit of the doubt, although it doesn't prevent a spammer from using well-known names in their efforts...

Reviewed the website. Looks like they are posting anti Brady endorsement lists against numerous pro nra/goa endorsement or grade lists.
Looks legit. Tested on a Firefox 2.09 browser.
