I'm just wondering how many folks here have been switched, or are still "undecided."

Not really. From reluctant "probably McCain" to solid McCain-Palin. I haven't the time, but my husband has actually done some volunteering for McCain-Palin, and I support him in that.
No, I don't buy that Palin is brainless prom queen. Although I mostly despise prom queens and their ilk of both sexes, I like the McCain ticket in general, and would love to have a pro-gun vp.

yes. Since I'm in a solidly blue state, where my vote doesn't matter anyway, I was planning on voting third party. But, the more I thought about/realized what a *expletive deleted*che obama is, and the more I was exposed to the ignorance of his followers, the more I leaned toward voting for McCain.

No. After examing the platforms of those running and issues on our ballot, I voted for those who best represent my views.

I'm still torn between holding my nose and voting for McCain against Obama and voting my conscience and voting for Bob Barr.

No change in how I'm voting, but I'm seriously considering switching my party affiliation to Independent for as long as I'm still trapped here in the Democratic Socialist People's Republic of Maryland. I'm convinced that the Republican leadership is not as determined to win this election as the DNC.

Nope. There was definite hesitation, though, when it came to marking the ballot. Came perilously close to the ultimate protest vote - writing in Lee L. Mercer. However, Palin was still on the McCain ticket - so I decided to go that route.

Nope.
I'm was luke-warm towards McCain unitl Obama got the Democratic nomination. At that point, I began actively supporting McCain. While McCain is not my ideal Republican (read, conservative) candidate, Obama is pretty much 180 degrees my opposite.
It's ain't over 'til its over...

Pretty much the same as Bridgewalker. If you would have asked a few months ago, I would have been undecided / probably (reluctantly) McCain. As more and more Obama stuff came up, I moved to the solidly (but still reluctantly) McCain.

I hate McCain's guts (politically speaking), but the words "President Obama" stick in my craw.

No change, still voting against Obama instead of for McCain. I hate it, but it seems like the only thing to do. If there was not the likelihood of a D pres and a veto/fillibuster proof D majority in the house and senate with Reid and Pelosi in charge I would vote 3rd party and let Obama win as a weak and pointless gesture to the repubs that I do not agree with a majority of things they now support, just less so than the democrats.
Edit: oh, and the Supreme Court is going to have enough change over in the next few years that D control is scary. D prez, D congress, and D Supreme Court.. perfect storm of "social change."

I have an elaborate and convoluted -- one might say Rube Goldberg -- strategy as the objective of my vote.
I refuse to discuss this strategy -- or my vote -- on the grounds that one of the conspirators may prevail on me to change my mind, and I have no intention of letting them discover I haven't got one.
So, it's a secret.
But you'll all know on November 5th.

I was going to vote libertarian.
But, MO being a "swing state" (that's leaning to the left), I feel I have little choice but to vote against Obama. And that means a vote for McCain.
I don't think McCain will do a steller job. I don't really like McCain. But I *do* think that Obama would be a very destructive force against individual freedom and liberty.

I'm probably going to hold my nose and vote John McCain.
I'm still under the impression that John McCain represents a significant risk to screw up the country.
Not only that, but the republicans will get blamed for every time he goes along with Democrats in Congress.
With Obama, there is no risk. He will screw up the country.
At least the right people will get blamed for it.
And the Republicans may wake up.
The danger to the Supreme Court is the only thing making me lean towards voting for McCain.
I probably will.

I voted McCain- Palin for President, and Joe Barton (R) for US Congress (one of the few who voted against the bailout up to the bitter end), but I voted Libertarian for Senate and for TX judges (Libertarians make better judges, IMHO). The only Democrat I voted for was for Railroad Commissioner (the current Republican is too cushy with the oil companies).
I love early voting in Texas.... :cool:

I am with these guys much as it makes me want to puke voting for disasterous.
