Title: Another start-up airline coming
Post by: Fly320s on June 15, 2009, 05:44:24 AM
Sounds like a winner.  ;/

www.petairways.com   An airline for pets only.

On the plus side, they are hiring.

I see mega fail in their future.

(I noticed in the fine print they are operated by an existing freight company....)

For me, that would've been useful as hell a few years back. Moving goats by renting a truck and towing a carrier sucked.

I'm ashamed to admit that I'm so desperate for a job that I was this |...| close to sending them my resume as a mechanic.  =(

They are using Beech 1900C's which are already in freight service.  That gives a new meaning to Freight Dogs.

Could have used this a few months ago. Moving 5 cats via Grand Cherokee over three days and 1500 miles was not fun for me or the cats. Think 3 days of the Anvil Chorus done by cat yowl.

I also think it would've been considerably less stressful on the cats, too. They had to be recaptured and crated multiple times, positively freaking out each time. They still don't act right.

Cats never act right, how were you able to tell a difference?

A wok and some soy sauce would have solved/prevented that problem.

Wow, I never knew cats were partial to stir fry.

Do they prefer beef or chicken?

Yep moved mine from PA to florida that way.  Sucked for me, sucked for the furries.  They were pissed at me for weeks.

I can just see Mommy greeting her Fluffy at, say, IAD and Fluffy is all covered in crap and yowling wildly, with bleeding eyes and ears. First Class indeed.
