The insanity never seems to stop.
But if we save just one vegetable from a tragic death it is worth it.
Yes, a stab proof knife.
I almost thought this was from "The Onion."

Let's hope they don't realize that stabbing is not the only way to use a knife against someone. ;/

You can still stab someone with that, it'll just hurt more.

Also, best thread title ever.

I agree. It wouldn't be terribly difficult to stab someone with that. Just have to use a little more force. Also, as has been said, stabbing is not the only way to hurt someone with a knife.
-
it's also made under the assumption that the
people sheeple are too stupid to take a file to the point to make it stab-worthy.
didn't some noteworthy king of long ago make pointed eating knives illegal to "reduce crime"? i heard that's why our butterknives are traditionally round-pointed now.

or branches... or rocks, or broken windows, or....
Hmm. I just realized something! You can't stop crime by trying to get rid of weapons! What a revelation! =D

No matter. IMHO, in the hands of an untrained person, a knife is more dangerous when used as a slashing weapon. Big gaping wounds that bleed profusely. Hit a few arteries and spurt to death. Unless a lucky plunging wound hits a vital organ or artery, stabbing isn't that effective, unless you know where to stick it....

That bottle opener on the tip should come in handy.
What about forks? Are they not worried about forkings?

I'd have to say that it's the British people who are being forked...

Calling on Sweeney Todd to prove the point (isn't necessary)

I almost said something about forking. Not a bad way to die, I guess.

Referring to another thread concerning writing, I must say this is the highest praise to have penned the "best thread title ever." Sincere thanks.
The last several weeks have been very challenging to me professionally. I have faced issues that I never thought I could deal with while maintaining my sanity!! Lots of Gin has helped, but also a strong sense of confidence and self assurance has led the charge!
Sometimes a comment as simple as "best thread title ever" means as much as "most reassuring comment ever."
Thanks...

Pure genius deserves recognition. =)

The prototype is expected to be given a test run within months.
What sort of field testing will they be doing? Issuing the things to muggers?
I used to help out at my brother-in-law's bakery. There was a large sign on the wall that said "Sharp is safe - dull is dangerous!"

You are trying to think realistically. Please reconsider. Such thinking is not appreciated, and not a little out-dated.

Ah, razor-sharp wit from the Brit!

You're not going to make my skin into a boat!

Dual overhead choils!!

Five minutes with a grinder and those knives will stab just fine.

Grinders are now illegal in Britain.

Now that is too far...banning a type of sandwich! But I guess that the cholesterol could harm someone...
