It's Sea Fair 2009 and I didn't feel like fighting the crowds to go to today's air show. However, I did the next best thing: I went to Boeing Field to watch the participants take off and land. Here are some photos I took. I'll apologize in advance for the lack of sharpness: the speed of the planes and the fact that I was handholding a telephoto lens wasn't conducive to really sharp photos.

Definitely cool.

Unisaw, if you ever get the chance to be there when Fat Albert takes off as the Angels leave Seattle, take it. They generally do a rocket-assisted take off that is quite spectacular. I have seen it several times.

Mill Creek: thanks for the tip. I was hoping they would light 'em up today, but it wasn't to be.

Cool pics.

Was the F22 there?
I saw it last year in Spokane and even though I have been around aviation since I was in my teens, that show made my jaw drop.
A most impressive airplane.
C130 and JATO = cool, but bad things can and have happened. It's a seat puckerer every time you do it.

Nope. No F-22.
