For me.. a grilled thick center cut pork chop, mashed sweet potatoes, and a salad.  Good stuff!

Got the grill going. Steak, bake potato and some greens.

Then back to the garage to get some more work done. Or play with some new reloads.

Linguine and SOS-sensory overload sauce:  homemade sauce including chunks of stew beef, homemade, very coarse grind, Italian sausage, and massive overdoses of garlic and cheap box cab sauv.  To be washed down, of course, with more of the cab sauv, and accompanied by a Caesar's salad (the real deal w/ coddled egg and olive oil that has been on the garlic since yesterday.  None of that fraudulent bottled junk.) substituting spinach for the romaine and Kaseri cheese for the parmesano.

We had a late lunch, so just a a bowl of cottage cheese.  My wife got herself and the kids something else to eat.  I go to sit and enjoy my meal.  I look to my left and my right, what do I see, the 2 year old and the 4 year old looking at my like baby birds with their mouths open.  I lose most of the first bowl and part of the second.  A guy can't eat in peace. ;/

Fish tacos and tamales at Phillipe's Tacqueria in Decatur, just on the outskirts of the French Quarter.

If you think it is strange to go to New Orleans to eat Mexican food, that is because you have not eaten at Phillipe's Tacqueria.

This morning, a brunch of eggs, biscuits, grits, and the most incredible crab cake I've ever eaten.

I like this town.

With us, it is four dogs begrudging every bite we take.  Wanna trade?

Frozen pizza, about 38 ounces total with the extra cheese. It's actually not bad. I'm full.

Now I'm hungry again.

Pantry velcro pasta  =D

not all to uncommon concoction around my house.

Tonight is a can of white cannalini beans, a jar of roasted red peppers, and enough fresh garlic to give some bite all pureed together with some chili flake and good olive oil. Tossed with spaghetti and a couple raw egg yolks.

Jambalaya and gumbo tonight, with Abita Amber.

We ate early.  It's hungry work, running a half-marathon, and then following the kiddos all over the zoo.   =D
