Got online just a few minutes ago.
If you read my previous message, you'll know I was growing more and more dissatisfied with my cable provider.
Well, I thought I'd try one last game of XBox live with some friends before firing up the DLS.
I should have done it first.
The cable went down AGAIN. Lately it's been going down more than a harlot when the fleet's in town. I can't tell you how happy I'm going to be to call the assclowns at Cox and tell them to get reamed.

Mike,
I hope it all works out fine for you.
At home I am still using dial-up. At College I have 100Mbps. Talk about extremes...

Our electric co-op worked a deal on satellite Internet with WildBlue. No installation fee. $250 for the equipment. Since I no longer need a second phone line, the monthly cost is a wash. 512 kilobites/sec, IIRC.
Vast improvement over dialup.

Nice , ain't it?
