Title: Weather?
Post by: Jim147 on July 18, 2010, 12:38:18 AM
When the sun went down today it dropped to 90 degrees with 95% humidity.  I know it is summer time but this humidity is killing me.

I'm about 75 miles south of Kansas City.

I was just just wondering what your weather was like and what part of the world your in.

Meh.  What else did you expect?  Summer blows.  Relief is spelled O-c-t-o-b-e-r.

It's been beautiful, with sun, temps in the upper 80's to 90's. Well, a little hot. ;)

Today it rained most of the day. By 3 the radar showed that the rain had passed, so I drove my just-waxed car to the gym. I was there half an hour and it began to pour. I slopped the car all up driving back, only to find the streets dry as can be here at home, just five minutes from the gym. I guess the radar was for our house only.

It was pretty warm here today. It got into the mid 80's with a humidity of ............. well not much.

Right now (2330) it is a temperate 66 degrees with about 40% humidity.

I guess it will be warm all week, highs into the mid 80's and lows in the mid 50's.

At least I know why my garden isn't doing very well this year, rain, cool temps and an overabundance of slugs.

I'm just trying to get acclimated and think positive, Fistful. I'm actually getting a bit more accustomed to the heat. Come December and January I'll really be thankful we're in the south.

The nice thing about Montana is that we get to experience both extreme hot and extreme cold weather.

For some reason I could not pull up the Golden weather graph today, but here's nearby Wheat Ridge:

http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?CityName=Wheat+Ridge&state=CO&site=BOU&textField1=39.7734&textField2=-105.099&e=0&FcstType=graphical

That orta do it for my report.  It will come up with the graphics beginning at whatever time you click on it.

Hey, 230RN, what happened to the crack about my grammatical error? Why did you edit it out? You had me checking Merriam Webster to see if there was any chance I was in any way remotely correct. ;)

It's 97 with 61% humidity right now. I just looked at tomorrows forecast and it's going to be worse.

I might have to hibernate with a bottle of something and a bucket of brass and only go out before the sun comes up and after it goes down.

West Michigan:  Best spring and summer in years.  Been in the 80's and low 90's, sunny and breezy with a little rain once in awhile.  Southern Mich has had all the storms.  Humidity get high, turn on the AC for some relief.  Otherwise just lovin it.  The lake water is warm for floatin'

I thought about hopping in the pool. I stuck my hand in it and decided on a cool shower. I didn't check the temp but it has to be in the 90's.

I think I'll stop and get a few bags of ice this afternoon and throw in there.

It was nice here yesterday - about 85.

I went for a ride with just a denim vest on my top half.

70mph winds on Saturday, looked like a tornado when through my neighborhood. Pretty much any Bradford pear, cottonwood or silver maple are non existant anymore.

My deck furniture was in the yard and my bird bath was in the neighbor's yard.

Your picture has to be hosted on a different website. Try Photobucket (http://"http://www.photobucket.com/) or Imgurl (http://imgurl.filetac.com/) for some free image hosts.

Here in KC, it's a little better after last night storms.

The heat and humidity is helping keep my A/C work busy.

Hot dry no rain and humid. Mid to high 90s for daytime highs. Mid to high 70s at night in the Tampa area. Possible Tropical system for the weekend. That'll stir the oil spill and blow the spill away from the panhandle.
Pretty much the normal Summer in the Sunshine State. After the TD/TS passes back to afternoon thunder storms most days.

OK. I'm already using photobucket for my pictures I've taken. How do I get one from inbox to photobucket???????????

This is driving me crazy. Tried moving pic to "folder", no dice.

I'm not sure on inbox to photobucket. The quick way may be to save the photo to your desktop. Click the photobucket upload from computer button and click on the pic.

Couldn't figure out how to do that. Was able to move to a folder and open it in "my pictures" but couldn't open it in the p'bucket upload mode.

However, upper rt on photobucket page has "more upload tools" one of which is e-mail, looks like I can e-mail it to photobucket. We'll see.

Thanks,
Bob
