The story's real they just had the wrong motivation. Putin wasn't hunting whales, (obviously, I mean he didn't even have a good harpoon) He was trying to bait Paul Watson into crossbow range.
What better way to enjoy nature then by hunting hippies?

Look at the pic in the center of his site. It's Obama sitting prissy-like on a bike (complete with helmet), and Putin out in his rubber raft, crossbow in hand. I swear Obama's in need of training wheels, by the looks of the pic.

So we've got our president all decked out in his purple safety gear while Putin is in the Northern Sea of Japan without so much as a life jacket?!?
Why can't we have TR worthy presidents anymore? Maybe we'll get lucky and get a more manly president in 2012. Go Palin.

It looks like blue to me, but it also looks like a chick bike. Then there's the helmet. A helmet can really ruin a dude's look.
