Not much of a surprise there. What surprised me was how effective he was in selling his flip-flop.
My question for those in Arizona: Any pools out there on when McCain reverts to his historic self?

Yep, the very next day is my guess.

Probably before you finished typing...

"revert" ??? that would require a change in the first place. =|

McCain will oppose the Tea Party new blood, is my guess.
The nooz is full of broad sweeping announcements about how this election was a referendum that the American People want Washington to unite to get the People's work done. [barf] They keep talking about how important it is to avoid gridlock and get important work done.
The Tea Party winners, though, get it. They know that we want them to go to Washington to STOP the bull-pucky that Washington wants to do. They know we want Obamacare done away with. They know we absolutely don't want amnesty. They know we don't want "reaching across the aisle."
McCain doesn't know any of that. He has a 20+ year history of reaching across the aisle, trampling the Constitution and selling out.
My guess is in the first 2 months of the next session of Congress, we'll hear McCain with one "gang" of RINOs, and some Tea Party leader (Rand Paul?) with another "gang" of Tea Party Republicans, in the Senate, butting heads over legislation in that House of Congress.
I think the House is solidly in the hands of the Tea Party, though.

Like most of the Republocrats in Washington, he will bow to whoever pays him.

Gridlock my friend, gridlock. If nothing gets done the next 2 years so be it.

As someone here once said, the only reaching across the aisle I want see is when a "R" puts a chokehold on a "D" or to bitch slap one.

Hasn't McCain said this will be his last term? If so, he will do whatever he durn well pleases. =|
