Was in a jam a while back and my only option was ankle carry...and all my smallest guns were not in suitable condition for carry.
I gave my wife's Springer OACP clone in 9mm the hairy eyeball and tried it out in one of my three ankle carry rigs, the DeSantis stretchy one with the fake fur on the inside. Well, whaddaya know, it fit in the holster and looked fine when I wore my western boots (Redwing steel-toe ropers) and loose-fit cotton khaki pants. I later found I can get away with that rig in my logging boots and also with loose-fit jeans.
A week or so later, I was wearing baggy cargo shorts and I thought, "Maybe the OACP will work pocket carry, too?" In a Galco horsehide pocket holster for a Walther PPK, it will.
I looked at the Galco page and they make an Ankle Glove ankle holster for the Defender 1911 (3" bbl). It looks a little more secure for C&L carry. I suppose I can get by with what I have.
It is nice to have the option, as I prefer the 1911 manual of arms.

I would love to find an ankle holster that did not slide down. Have you been able to?

I use a Renegade for my Pocket Nine, and it's been rock solid. I think the design is similar to the DeSantis roo_ster mentioned.

Damn you, you're making me look cross-eyed at my Sig P230.

Nope. That's why I always wear ankle holsters inside a boot. Lace or pull-on doesn't matter much.
I hear the top-end Galco is quality and the Alessi is good, too.

My goal is to find an ankle holster that I can wear under a pair of suit pants while wearing dress oxfords and dress socks. I have a couple, including one that has a support strap that attaches up around the calf, and they all, faster or slower, end up gracefully sliding down to the ankle-foot junction and start flopping around.
PS edited to add: the DeSantis Apache and Galco Ankle-Lite do look interesting, but I have the Galco Ankle Glove, and even with the support strap, it still ends up sagging down.

One thing to try....pull your sock over your ankle holster....it should slow the slide down a little....also, try wearing a wrist warmer on your ankle below the holster.....

I gave up on trying to use an ankle holster
