I saw a couple of these...things when I was a kid. Very small, 6 and 8 wheel versions. I don't know the powerplant (whether it was gas or electric). Very tiny, possibly meant to be driven by a kid or teenager, single seat. I can find full size 6 and 8 tire ATVs, no problem, but nothing matching these descriptions. One I saw was the main prize in a contest at a local Winn-Dixie, and the other I saw was parked in somebody's shed.

Far too large. Like I said, I can find full size 6 and 8 wheel ATVs all over the place. Can't find what I'm talking about.

Those are the same as what he's already rejected.
I had a traumatic parenthood - the former daughter watched that show and made me take her to see them in person. *shudder*
stay safe.

So when were you a kid (for example 1970's)? This would help figure out what the ATV was.
-
www.maxatvs.com ?
And LOL, I remember those from the 70's too. Most every sci-fi and Sid & Marty Kroft adventure show worked one in. I think SPACE:1999 used them too.

1990s...I've seen the "Max" ATVs in Popular Mechanic's ads and such already...not them.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over!? Apparently the writers for 60s and 70s tv shows were dropping even heavier drugs than the writers of '80s tv shows that I watched reruns of when I was a kid.
-
Are you sure?
They've been in business since '69. They may have changed body styles a bit since.
Was anything else different about the layout that might jog more memories?

That's IT! Thanks a bunch, I can find out more now that I have a visual to go along with it to show people.
Man, I wish I had one of those as a kid. Would have been awesome...I did have a modded Powerwheels bigfoot, but one of those would have been much more appropriate to our terrain and my usage cycle (the powerwheels batteries went dead quickly).

That is an Argo or Attex 6x6 Mini? Maybe it's a kit?

I remember watching The Banana Splits as a kid and wondering WFT,O?

Somebody did some really heavy duty drugs back then.

Of course, I gotta figure out where he can ride the thing.
-
I remember driving onto the land of the "Republic of Texas" by accident once in the Fort Davis mountains.
I held the trigger of the Odyssey down to hard after I got scared when a Suburban pulled up behind me, jumped a creek, and nearly rolled the thing.
I was scared out of my wits

Banned camp for you all! Grumble grumble....smart asses.

My dad sold Hustler ATVs and they were powered by up to a 40 hp Kohler 2-stroke twin as I recall. Scary fast on land and about 3 - 4 knots in the water. Almost impossible to get stuck unless ya threw a chain!

Be sure to watch some of the video of them going through some NASTY stuff. Give them credit for showing that they CAN be high centered and then you are in need of help! Winches and friends are required when going out with these bad boys!

I suggest a go-kart, but one that will fit him when he's adult size. Our kart was a blast when we were growing up, but I rapidly outgrew it. Sister ran it into a tree on every ride, I swear. And we had plenty of fun jumping it...and rewelding a weak point.
Yes, I badly want an adult size go-kart. Don't really care for 4 wheelers.

The old Honda Odyssey's were a Blast! Full cage, full suspension in the later models, good power to weight...
