Which is why there are cans of WD-40, brake/carb cleaner, and other such flourocarbon-propelled products kept with mini lighters rubber banded to them. Spiders and the Zombie Apocolypse - be prepared for either.
stay safe.

and last i checked the grips made for spray paint fit wd40. ;)
good luck. and have fun. >:D

When I was a teen, working at a restaurant as a dishwasher, we'd take cans of Lysol, light the spray, and write our names on the wall in flames.
We were pretty stupid.
-
When I was a kid one of our chores was the take the trash down to the burn barrel and burn it. We had to stick around to make sure if didn't spread. We used to find all the aerosol cans and place them so they would explode. Much fun. Most of them just jetted fire out the end, but some made a decent bang. I think best bang I ever saw was a tennis ball that blew and made a perfect little mushroom cloud.
The best fun was shoving plastic milk jugs on a stick, lighting them, and bombing ant beds with molten plastic droplets. Those hurt by the way.
Either way, my brother and I were never tempted to play with matches in the house. =D

Ummmm..... there's a lot of wisdom in there, if you bother to look for it.

I usually find 4-5 of these little darlings around the place every year.

Tarantulas never bothered me, for some reason. Maybe it's because they're too furry to look menacing (and the fact that none of them are actually dangerous to humans).
It's the ones that are shaped more like black widows that freak me out.

Eh, reminds me, I need to get back to work on designing and building a flamethrower for Strings' niece.

Yeah, tarantulas are cute in a creepy kinda way.

If it makes you feel any better I don't think any of those spiders pose any threat to you. Aside from a possible infection from a bite.

Shoulda bought the WINO* (Mrs. Scout) a tarantula for x-mas this year. (she HATES bugs, so a big ol' fuzzy spider would just, well, [popcorn])

Ditto. My grandfather had a brick incinerator by the garden. I spent many happy hours there fine-tuning my pyro skills.

I'd have to vote for golf balls. When the hide burns through and that compacted "rubber band" core unwinds.... Do not be in the line of fire!

I don't have a thing against spiders, but if I had a guess from the reaction of the folks here who do... .50 BMG, in high concentration of fire.
-
rock salt, doesn't hurt as bad on bounce back. =)

Take off and nuke the site from high orbit, it's the APS way to be sure.

If there's anything left that can cause a .50 BMG to bounce back, you're not using enough rounds on target.
-
umm, i has a friend that lost an eye when her father shot at some bees with a rifle. never did ask what caliber, but i has no interest in firing a .50 at my feet. [tinfoil]
somehow, i bet it was a .22.
