Title: Vector Uzi -- yea or nay?

A buddy of mine is looking for an Uzi.

I spotted one at a local gun show, a Vector (http://www.vectorarms.com/uzi.html) in .45, with a single magazine.  He says conversion to 9mm is easy.  It looks to be their "full sized carbine", parkerized.  He's asking $950.

I do not know Uzis, or this company.  Thumbs up, or thumbs down?

With the exception of an IMI straight from israel, AFAIK, Vector is as good as they come.
