In Kenya, the day you are initiated is celebrated with feasting and celebration. Initiation is performed to help the individual learn the tribal songs, dances and also the laws, beliefs and customs. Some give a golden key which is to symbolize unlocking the "educational" lock traditionally on your 12th birthday.
What? =|
