Title: Obama Coalition makes it clear Dems will abandon white working class

The Future of the Obama Coalition

For decades, Democrats have suffered continuous and increasingly severe losses among white voters. But preparations by Democratic operatives for the 2012 election make it clear for the first time that the party will explicitly abandon the white working class.

It's a shame they don't put this much effort into figuring out how solve some of this countries problems.

Well, the sides are drawn.

Frankly, I expect a lot of the "white educated" to defect when they finally get the real agenda.

So they are writing off "NASCAR" America.

Exploring the stereotype of NASCAR America, it's a bunch of plumbers, electricians, contractors and blue collar union tradesmen.  Union workers, the lot of 'em.  Obama should be milking that union vote dry.

So, either the lib stereotype of NASCAR America is incorrect (it is), or the lib stereotype of Union workers being happy with socialism is incorrect (also true).

Between the Tea Party pointing out Socialism, and the "Millenials" in the article (the newly-adult around the turn of the millenium... recent college grads) pitching a fit and Occupying Wall Street in protest of crony capitalism and the incestuous nepotistic relationship between The Fed and major banks...  Obama is gone, unless we run another dose of Rudy McRomney on the sane portion of the electorate.  Mitt Pergrich?  Rick Ginney?  Newt McPerry?

I think Obama has run out of the "white guilt" that put him in office in the first place.  And America will remember the sting of this president for awhile, and there won't be another black president for a long time.

I don't know how long it's going to be before we get another black president, but I hope by then that the race card as a political and journalistic club will have been long since buried.

My NASCAR loving neighbor started a business with a partner, and a few years back they sold it out to a major corporation.  None of my business, but he must be well up into the millionaire class now.

Nice folks, though - you wouldn't know it except for all their toys  =)

Very interesting read, especially the second paragraph. A cursory search didn't lead me to anything concrete about the author's political leanings, but if progressive, I find the article's statement pretty damning to the whole Democratic, "We're here for middle America" spiel. If this really is the Obama strategy, I'm getting out a big bag of popcorn to watch the interactions between union members and union management.

My first thoughts after a year or two of obama is that he will be the last black President we will have for a long, long time.  Then Cain came along and he was doing well in the polls, but after the trashing he has gotten, not so much.  Now, I am back to the belief that it will be a long time before another black President.

The country's rapidly becoming the subsidizing and the subsidized, aka looters and lootees.  At some point the white "educated" constituency will recognize that the Obama-favoring lefties are not their friends or allies.  Usually the rainbow follows the storm; not this time.

The one benefit of Cain's candidacy is he has severed the perceived relationship between a black politician and Marxism.  Thanks to Cain we may well have another black president much sooner than we realize.

Obama's reelection strategy is now taking public form.  Class warfare coated with a fine layer of racism.

It will not be easy to become a right-leaning black candidate in the America we have today.

"Working class" is a term that has almost disappeared from the mouths of journalists, who today seem only to be concerned about the middle class. How interesting that it conveniently returns for a column about white voters' disdain for Obama.

Well, like I said in earlier threads, every time a black person declares themselves to be anything but a Democrat, they are ostracized by the large majority of blacks. Which is ironic because the blacks doing the ostracizing sold themselves out to the Democrat party...

My uncle is a lawyer in Las Vegas with his own firm.  He friggin' loves NASCAR, almost as much as he loves to fish.
