Frank said he won't run next year, since his district has changed, and he would actually have to campaign for re-election.

Good riddance.
Bawney Fwanks was one of the most venal, narcisssistic, dishonest politicos in that swamp.  That he's commiting political sippuku is just fine with me. 
He claims Fannie & Freddie are good investments ...... then after they tank, he claims he sounded the alarm about them. [barf] :facepalm:  I could go on but that alone should suffice.

As far as I'm concerned, it is time for him to retire.  He departs and others have to fix the mess.  He had a very large role in creating the financial mess that continues.
