XD .45, compact, single stack. read here (http://www.xdtalk.com/forums/general-sa-xd-xd-m-talk/192493-real-thread-about-xds-slim-pictures-video-added-2.html).
I want too much stuff.

Meh. It is still an XD.
-
I always wondered about this.
5+1 I see - I think that I will keep my Kahr PM45 though....
-
so they basically functionally replicated a compact 1911 with less ammo capacity and it's ugly to boot. I am impressed.

I'll bet the slide is bulky also.
-
And they are still made in Croatia, and I bet the parts are still hard to get.

I like XD's. Big honking 5" ones.
My sentimient is "meh, it's a compact low capacity XD"

The whole piece is 1" at the widest point. Slide is reported to be .9 inch. I note there's an external extractor. No room for the usual (funky and weird) XD internal extractor.

Still waiting on a 7+1 single stack 9mm Glock... [tinfoil]
I know such a beast wouldn't have had enough GCA '68 import points to get in, the G26 & G27 barely make it, they have to have the thumb divots (target grips) and a cheap plastic adj. sight the Smyrna GA facility removes Stateside for them to meet the minimum.
However, I thought the Smyrna plant now had enough capability to at least make frames, even if the slides and barrels still had to come from Austria...
