How the eff do you SEARCH for music on that damn site? Geeeeezzzz [barf]
-
Searching for music to buy? I think the search box is in the upper right corner.
-
5 minutes trying to navigate ITunes and I hate it already
You are ahead of the curve.
-
I figured it out, yup upper right corner but you must be on the correct page. The search button looks the same everyehere but serves different purposes on different pages. Oy... my head hurts now

Had an ipod for a while, as well as the itunes executable. I removed the executable within the week and gave the ipod away. Just awful, both device & application.

It is designed to separate the true believers from the rest of us. You will not be allowed into Apple heaven. So has the Jobs spoken.

Hate itunes with a passion.
As for searching for music to buy, I don't buy their songs any more since they aren't mp3 (so can't burn a data cd for the car) and they have ten tons of DRM garbage
I stick to Amazon for my mp3 downloads. Same price, better navigation, and any mp3 bought from Amazon stores for free in their cloud service. So always there if I want to redownload or stream to my phone or some such.

Ilol some more...
Ahem.
I do believe the word you are looking for is iLol.
I would also like to state for the record that for once, I get to participate in some mac-related iLulz.
Apparently, since Jobs died and someone did an expose of "Zomg! Apple stuff is made in sweatshops in China by iDrones! Under horrible working conditions!" Most of my friends who (also) use macs are all "gasp, shock, but....but...they're....um...aren't they...uh....oh, never mind...."
A friend, and multiple friends of friends, have been agonizing of what is the socially correct choice of computer to replace their macs, now that macs are evil.
My mac is now officially non-trendy. It is an anti-trend. So ha! I have an untrendy computer (and tablet and phone). Possibly even an evil computer (and tablet and phone). Made with the blood of Chinese iDrones under the demonically watchful eye of Jobs, the Anti-Gaia. And it feels so good.

Better an iDrone than an iAsianchildprostitute
Not that I advocate Chinese sweat shops....but it's a step above Chinese streetwalking.
Yay for Apple!

I really like my ipod. I tolerate itunes because it's required to use the thing. After spending a couple of years using other music devices (Sansa mostly) I have to say the ipod is superior in almost every way.

Anti-trendy=trendy. You can't escape it

iTunes used to be better. The "improvements" in the last few updates suck.

Same here. After using many of the alternatives (MS Zune, Sansa, etc), the iPod (mine's a Touch) and iTunes is far superior to the others. The only significant issue I've had with iTunes is when managing multiple instances of the same type of hardware. It can be a bit tricky to get it to realize which one is which at first. After it learns, there are no further issues.

I was just the opposite. I went from iPod to Generic MP3 Player that the computer recognizes as a USB thumb drive. So much easier to administer, script, and switch between computers.

New discovery, downloadable music in general, it would appear that the download providers (Amazon, iTunes etc) don't like long tunes. Two of the longer tunes (10 minutes+ each) on my new CD are not available singly but can only be purchased by buying the whole album. I can't decide whether this is a blessing or a curse. =|
CD Baby WILL sell them singly...

iRiver and Creative for me. For the flexibility and sound quality.

Yep. BR, you are officially a Hipster.

Yep. BR, you are officially a Hipster.
Not if she wipes MacOS off her machine and installs some linux distro.
From lowest to highest, the level of anti-hipsterishness and techie props:
Ubuntu
Fedora
Debian
Gentoo from source
(Danger: if word gets out that you compiled Gentoo from source on your Mac, you may be overwhelmed with the number of techie guys with good jobs that become interested in dating.)

I am intrigued by your ideas and wish to subscribe to your newsletter. Especially if there is a personals section. And if some of these individuals reside within a reasonable driving distance.
Srsly though, I came close to blue-screening myself yesterday from a combination of long shifts, sleep and exercise deprivation, and the generalized funk that comes from living on reds, vitamin c, and Redbull. I am very appreciative of an OS that does not require thought, or discrimination, or any more effort than using the one option placed before me by The Apple Capitalist Machine.
For some of us, lack of options is a feature. For some because it clarifies the most coolest choices. For others out of a combination of laziness and exhaustion.
