Court cases in Illinois. We had two cases concerning the lack of any type of carry dismissed. Both are being appealed to the same appeals court that gave us the Ezell ruling (http://volokh.com/2011/07/08/ezell/). Chances are pretty good they'll go to the Supreme Court (probably combined). I can't see the anti's in this state (and the nation) rolling over if they lose at the appellate level, and I know we'll ask for Cert if we lose.

But today the Illinois Supreme court is expected to rule on the Cook County "Assault Weapon" ban.

good to hear they will alllow the case to proceed, although it seems abvious to me that semi-auto's should be allowed. (if you tell them i said so, i'm sure it will hurry the case along.)

It would be very nice to see IL get CCW, for a whole lot of reasons.
I'll bet that Rham's security detail is well armed, which just frosts my *expletive deleted*ss!
I might even travel there once reciprocity is established with OH.
