I dunno, but probably same as that other idiot that took one up the dumper earlier in the video. The only difference was, the first guy still had his shorts on.

A friend of mine could have made this video tonight. Let's just say that launch tubes have a purpose. That purpose is to put the splodey-stuff in the air. When the splodey ball is lit outside of the tube, it might come back at you and your house. :lol:

Based on some of the stories I've heard from docs, nurses and emts over the years, no explanation is needed other than "Yeah, that boy's a special kind of stupid."

Bottle rockets are fun, but I find I don't like to mess with them too much anymore. If they aren't new that year, they have a disturbing tendancy to blow up a foot away from launcher. I also find I get very tired of lighting each and every single one.
I saw another video of an attempted bottle rocket/fireworks fight. Less than a minute in, a rocket hit one teams stockpile of fireworks and flammables (that were apparently out in the open) and the whole pile goes up in flames and explosions. It also apparently burned up a bunch of that teams belongings also.
Biggest Bottle Rocket Success for me: Had 6" piece of pipe that was about 2 feet long or less. Stuffed as many bottle rockets in it as we could while still being loosely packed. Stuck a dozen or so sparklers down in there with them (ones with paper on the ends to make them easier to light). We broke the handles on the sparklers so they would burn down to the level of the bottle rocket fuses. Result: 10 to 15 seconds of a solid stream of bottle rockets flying out of the pipe. It was great. Only a few failed to light.

I shoot the big ones, 1.3G explosives.
A couple years ago I was lighting a 6" mortor off and it blew up in the tube, causing what we call a flower pot. I was about 3' away from it when it happened it also set off about 4 more in a row, one of those flower potted. I was getting ready to get back in the action when I felt a lot of hands patting my back. I was on fire, thank goodness for proper equipment and a lot of sweat or I'd have a lot of scars from that night.

We had a little error in the middle of it and I had to relight the finale string, people loved it.

yeah, anal retention is a serious condition when it involves fireworks.
Personally, I don't like explosions unless I'm the one causing them.
