Title: Carl Rove won't be indicted...
Post by: K Frame on June 13, 2006, 02:58:27 AM
at least that's what's being reported this morning...

The howling on another website I'm on, one that makes Democratic Underground look conservative, will certainly be fun to watch...

Big duh.  Even in this country, still, you have to indict people for doing something wrong.

Imagine my surprise...

There aren't a dozen threads there already about how the evil Bush has manipulated the justice system using his Satanic connections...

One poster was, about 3 weeks ago, breathlessly reporting that a Rove indictment was imminent any day and was quite gleeful about it...

She hasn't surfaced yet, nor have her minions...

DU has about 20 conspiracies running at the same time.

My favorite are the ones looking for a gleam of hope, that this is just to give Rove a false sense of security.  They are going to indict him over something else, or the FBI is going to be breaking down his door for a search.

I will admit that I I have only been directed to DU a few times, and then only read the thread that I was directed towards.  I have a question about the place.  Is everything over there a conpsiracy?  I only read a few threads, but there were conspiracy theories running rampant in all of them.  Even about how and why polls are showing rising numbers for the war and Bush.  (Rising numbers that still leave him in the gutter)

There have always been some very scary folks around.

Only with the internet, they're a lot more visible.

If you think the internet barking moonbats are scary...

I left the Madison area just over 20 years ago, and recently moved back.  OMFG! You can't go anywhere without seeing an "Impeach Bush" bumper sticker, or "Vote to Bring the Troops Home!" yard sign.

I need to locate one of those "If Guns are Outlawed, How Can We Effectively Manage the Liberal Herd?" bumper stickers for my truck...

""If Guns are Outlawed, How Can We Effectively Manage the Liberal Herd?"

Reminds me of the old Bloom County cartoon where Milo and the Major are going Liberal hunting.

AH! Here we go...

OMG, Mike, thanks for the flashback!  Believe it or not, my sister's a Bloom County freak, just like myself.  She pegged me for that cartoon back in the day, and sent it to me.  If I remember right, it's in color - and also in my file cabinet in Florida, where it will stay until I can schedule the movers to get all our household goods and bring them to me here in my new (old?) location in Madison, hereafter referred to by myself as "70 square miles surrounded by reality."   (Hey, that's a bumper sticker in itself!)

Yep, it was in color.

Many years ago I had it taped to my door at college, along with a lot of other cartoons and photographs guaranteed to drive wild the liberal pukes at my college.

I got into a fist fight at the annual house Halloween party when a guy, an RA no less, from the house across the quad decided to tear my Reagan - Bringing America Back sticker off my door.

They got me off the little nancy boy before I could get a beer bottle down his throat sideways.

Bloom County was reason enough to buy the whole newspaper.  Toss in the Far Side and we're talkin' comic strip heaven.

In more insanity, I decided to head over to truthout.org.

I actually read this:

Quote
Do you understand that the word "lie" confers an intent to mislead?

What is your evidence that Jason intended to mislead? Not simply that what he wrote turned out to be incorrect in some fashion, but that he meant to write something that was wrong..
They are defending the truthout "reporters."  I realize that this is one person posting, but how many of them will entertain this thought, while at the same time crying "Bush lied" over and over?

More conspiracies.  I guess I should just chaulk it up to cheap entertainment.
