Several hundred people journeyed on foot from the southern region of Andalucia, which has one of the worst unemployment rates in Spain, and from northern Catalonia and other areas in an attempt to highlight the plight of the unemployed in recession-hit Spain, where almost one in four is without a job.
But, but, but I thought Spain was the "model" for the US. All those "Green Energy" jobs they were creating.
What happened Mr. President?
Will Spain be the new Syria?

I blame it on Corinthian leather car seats going out of style.

From Hell's heart, I stab at thee!
Not spit.
... to the last I grapple with thee; from hell's heart I stab at thee; for hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee.
—Moby-Dick, Ch. 135
Khan: [quoting from Melville's Moby Dick] To the last, I will grapple with thee... from Hell's heart, I stab at thee! For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee!

And BTW, Montalban is from Mexico, not Greece, the Cordoba (car with the Corithian leather seats) is named after a city in southern Spain. Montalban also speaks Spanish. Hence the connection.
If you insist on a Greek connection, look into the possibility of something between him and the midget.
DD
-
Whatever.
We've been hearing about Greece and their impending fiscal apocalypse for about a year now. Every. Single. Day.
If the Spanish want me to give a rip, the're going to have to escalate to full-on rebellion. I have rabble fatigue. Whatever those governments are doing must be unbelieveably stable because they seem to be hanging on quite effectively.

See, I knew that, partly because I've actually been there, Greece that is , and well, Spain also. Probably before you could find either of them on a map. =D =D

They've done far worse than scare you. They've irked you. And they wish to go on - irking you.
They shall leave you as they left Greece... marooned for all eternity in the center of a dead EU. Buried alive...

Wow, the Wrath of Khan, 1970s Chrysler land yacht commercials, and Fantasy Island references all make it onto a thread about Spain- in under a page.
This is why APS is awesome. >:D

Dwarf sodomy is never a joke. Please, won't someone think of the dwarfs?

That kind of politically-correct sensitivity helped put Humpy out of work, you self-righteous prig. Think of the economic consequences for once. 8 Dwarfs better than 7, etc.

In an odd glitch in the way my synapses are wired up, whenever I hear or read the phrase "I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6" I always picture dwarves. Don't know why, it just happens that way. ???

Sure. Him too. Or "still". er... et alia?
Little people. All of 'em.
And Ricardo.
This is APS. It's all germane. Like the Germans and the Spanish. Closely linked, but not the same. Germane. German-y.
