This one of those cases where you wonder what the hell they are talking about.  The ad is just playing quotes made at a public event.

Dems/media love to take Repubs out of context whenever they can.  It cuts both ways.

She sounds Shelia Jackson Lee crazy.

This.

Some people don't want to be represented by shrieking guano-crazy black women that peddle to racial stereotypes by deliberately sounding "urban-cultural."  If you don't want to fight that stereotype, then don't deliberately fit it in your rallies.

I do think the question posed by the reporter is a good one. Pointing out that she was at campaign event channeling a banshee rather than at work in DC is a strong message to suburban voters. Probably a better ad than this one.

It would be one thing if her becoming unhinged were an isolated incident.

However, it's a regular occurrence for her.

IMO, the use of the race card is going to fracture the Left, eventually someone who's more or less "legitimately" concerned with racisim will realise it's over-use is diluting the term into meaninglessness, and will call the rest of the left out on it.

Of course, they'll be ignored. And identity-politics will prevent these people from ever joining up with the right.

Gwen Moore gives Sheila Jackson Lee a run for the money in the crazy department. If she isn't screeching or screaming when she's speaking on the chamber floor, she's crying. Screeching, screaming and crying are her techniques for defeating legislation she doesn't like. I don't think she's ever tried talking.

You're not familiar with Harrisburg. They elected a perfect version of the first sentence, but add very religiously crazy. Which made it awesome when folks on her staff sent letters to the ACLU.

I just assume that Glendale, Shorewood, Whitefish Bay, Fox Point, Bayside and Brown Deer are all towns that won't much care for that stereotype being their representative.

You are correct.

Since when is using the actual, unaltered audio of a candidate racist and/or sexist?

Oh wait, she's a democrat.  Never mind.

How can it be a caricature when its the actual person?  Are we using the same language?

I mean, its a political person at a political event.  Not some expose of someone in drag... when they are at a Halloween costume party.

So, what if we found video of a Republican engaged in actual racism? Would that be double secret racism?

Funny how the reporter doesn't ask what is racist about the ad. I've never been to j-school, but isn't that a basic question he should have asked?

If you can afford a jar of mayonaise, you can afford a jar of peanut butter.  (oh wait, they are probably allergic to even the smell.  Can't allow that stuff in school.)

What are Ray-Man noodles?  I've seen RAH-man (spelled raman) noodles on store shelves.

What are raman noodles? :P

They're noodles named for the primary method of preparation by their single largest consumer.
