Here's the list:
http://economistsforromney.com/
There are some big names on that list.
If you google "economists endorse Obama" you get a bunch of links talking about economists endorsing Romney instead. Is it really this lopsided or is someone at Google rigging the searches? (unlikely)
EDIT:
Wikipedia lists only 3:

Wow....

My guess would that Google would skew it in favor or Obama if they were gonna tweak it. And maybe in their addled, liberal minds they think they have.
-
Wait, you mean 99.9% of economists support the moderate capitalist over the far left wing socialist?
Shocked I tell you, shocked.

Obama has Nobel-Prize winning economist Paul Krugman solidly behind him. Krugman's only real criticisms of Obama are that he's not spending enough, hasn't raised taxes enough, and that his deficits are too small.
(If Krugman were an AA counselor, he'd be in the "more booze sobers up drunks" wing of the group.)

I think that in just about any field you will find <insert field>-ists that are completely useless and in a sense and can be harmful because laypeople consider them to be experts in their field.
Sometimes these people die in horrible explosions of their own making, are peter-principled to a place where they can effect no harm, or win Nobel Prizes due to their collectivist politics.

You have to read the whole Wiki page. Those three economists are listed under the Nobel Laureates who have endorsed Obama. There is no listing of how many economists have endorsed Obama.
-
Economics is racist. Didn't you know that?

Your literal point is valid. I would observe, however, that Barack Obama is also a Nobel Laureate, albeit in another category....

The only category that doesn't matter, is awarded in a different country, and can be apparently given for not doing anything.

Just pointing out the facts. The title of this thread is misleading because based on the links provided there are 673 economists who are supporting Romney and 9 of them are Nobel Laureates. We don't really know how many economists are supporting Obama other than the three Nobel Laureates. If you can't tell, I'll read an article but then I go to the footnotes and try to fact check it.

Obama (and Bush, for that matter) has been a major advocate of Keynesian economic intervention. Most economists are Keynesian these days, so if you were to conduct a survey of all US economists it would probably show a strong tendency toward Obama.

Of course. I was simply snarking on the idea that Obama's Peace Prize undermines the value of the system, making those endorsements less credible. (As if an endorsement from Krugman is credible on its face).

Don't forget that years before Obama got his Peace Prize, the idiots in Oslo awarded one to Yassir Arafat. But at least back then, there was at least one member of the committee who resigned in protest, unable to stomach such a warped twisting of reality.
So a lot of the moral and ethical prestige the prize carried with it had already eroded by the time it was awarded to Obama simply for not being Bush.

Don't forget that Algore has one too...

Most economists are Marxists, Keynesians or Monetarists which means that they would not recognize a free or free(d) market if they were suddenly tossed into one.
Macroeconomics for the most part has been used a sophisticated academic rationalization for government interference in people's private business both literally and figuratively.
