I just picked up a CW45 and it came with one magazine. I'd like to have a spare, but it seems like every place I looked that listed them cheaper than the $40 Kahr wants for them is out of stock.
Anybody know where they might be available for a decent price?

$40? Suck it up and buy it. I mean that in a loving, supportive way. YMMV.
$40+ is about par for what Bersa and Star magazines are going for (2 of the last three handgun purchases here at Casa de Internet Pseudonym.)
An autoloader with one magazine is a clumsier reload than a revolver.

I picked one up for my Kahr CW40 at a gun show a while back for $20. That was the exception, I don't think he even knew what it was for.

What is it about certain guns that makes the manufacturer think their mags are worth this much? [barf]
HK, doublestack 1911's, Kahr...
Mag price is always a consideration whenever I buy a new handgun.

Production amount, costs of production, etc. AR and Glock mags are cheaper due to economy of scale while less common pistol mags unsurprisingly run $30-40...

Does not compute.
Same argument could be used to say Kahr pistols should cost $800. Fewer Kahrs out there than Glocks, economy of scale, costs of production, etc.

Many Kahrs do cost more than comparable, more common pistols...
My M&P mags cost more than other pistol mags but you dont see me whining...

The last time I looked at Kahr Arms pistols, they do cost $800.

Not around here. Not everyone carries them, but they run anywhere from $500's for the more stripped down economy versions, to mid $600's for the nicer ones. They might hit high 6's with night sites, maybe even low 7's. But I see Glocks in the 6's with night sights too.
