Title: Napoleon Dynamite
Post by: Jamisjockey on April 05, 2005, 09:51:10 AM
Watched it last night. I don't know what all the fuss is about. Its funny, and will probably be timeless, but certainly didn't live up to the acclaim. I'd give it a solid 3 out of 5. ...break the wrist, walk away...

I think the movie is uproariously hysterical, but can understand why someone would think it's dumb.

"Yeeees I love technology. But noooot as much as you, you see. Always and forever."
"Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting with babes ALL DAY."

I had to stop watching it because it was just so much like what I went through in HS.
I knew it was going to be painful when the kid made himself a plate of tator tots, just tator tots, I used to do that and thought I was the only one.
Then as the dweebiness ramped up the damage to my psyche grew as long repressed memories came flooding back.
I'm still shaken by the 1/2 hour of that movie that I watched.

Ditto what Justin said.
It's an unusual, quirky kind of humor.

Great movie. I wonder if Pedro really was sick with something.
