And shooting through a door might sometimes be justified, if someone is actively in the process of breaking down the door.

There was a case in Colorado years ago where a woman shot/killed her ex as he was breaking in, and she was cleared.

Post by: MechAg94 on April 06, 2013, 08:57:06 PM: I've heard of a few cases in Texas where someone shot and killed someone through the door and got cleared. I think in all of them the person was beating on the door and even threatening the homeowner. There was at least one case of a drunk idiot going "home" to the wrong house and beating on the door and making threats.

None of them I recall were just someone trying the knob.
