This is a seriously good idea.  I have six french presses within eyesight right now.  I am going to have to devote some thought to some beer/spice/fruit infusions.  At a beerfest a while back, I had a seriously good Thai-style IPA with flavors of lemongrass and coconut in it.

So you are saying I can throw some stuff in a french press filled with PBR and out the other end will be something that does not taste like it came from a diabetic horse?

Or am I going to end up with diabetic horse piss "with notes of __ and overtones of __"?

stay safe.

Don't fruit the beer.
