Congresional Black Caucus recommends Sheila Jackson Lee for Homeland Security post (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/jul/29/cbc-recommends-sheila-jackson-lee-homeland-securit/)
Oh-key then.

A letter dated July 25 and signed by Rep. Marcia Fudge, Ohio Democrat and caucus chairwoman, urges President Obama to consider Miss Jackson Lee for the position, calling the Democrat a “voice of reason” that the agency could stand to gain, the Houston Chronicle reported.
Makes me ashamed of being from Ohio

Zimmerman would have been renditioned by DHS rather than merely given a farce trial, if SJL were head of DHS when that was going down.
He might still get renditioned, as a "threat to the peace" or some other bunk.

Is "rendition" your new favorite word this month?

Sheila Jackson thinks she's the second coming of Barbara Jordan.
I have trouble thinking of a *worse* candidate.

Cynthia McKinney? Maxine Waters? OTTOMH.

Just think. If SJL got the job it would be easy to tell who the Homeland Security Storm Troopers would be. They'd be dressed up in clown suits.
-
So Jamis' Congressperson would go to work directly for Jamis' cousin....

For some reason it would not surprise me to see it happen.

That woman is dumb as a sack full of hammers. DHS deserves her.
-
There is almost no chance of this happening
This story has been manufactured, and trumped up beyond what is reasonable, And I have not figured out why
Very few people, the White House included, take the Congressional Black Caucus seriously
There has been no indication that the administration intends to nominate her
Additionally, as I've said before, there are some very good people working at DHS
To wish this *expletive deleted* head on us is very poor form

Maybe that's because of who BHO picked as a running mate . . .

The 'very good people' in the DHS might not fit the Administration's agenda.

And?
And what?

and they have 3 years 4 months to get the obama brown shirts entrenched for the takeover. [ar15]

Takeover? By whom? Hillary partisans? =D
Bet you a dollar GOP pulls defeat from the jaws of victory and puts forth a partisan candidate that no one really likes, that only gets partisan votes in order to lose the election.

Problem is there are two clear partisan camps in the GOP.
The so-con partisan camp and the libertarian partisan camp.
Neither is going to go along with the other.

Methinks you're missing a camp.
Unless, of course, you think libertarians are the ones in favor of more government control, more foreign wars and abortion and gay marriage. (Also for amnesty.)
(Edit: Incidentally, this is the camp from which the next candidate will come, with only lip service to the pro-life cause (like Romney) and probably be in favor of gay marriage.)

OK, neo-con RINOs also.

I've seen no evidence that the GOP can nominate a candidate that Republican voters actually like.

Hey now, a broken clock can be right twice a a day.

Hey now, a broken clock can be right twice a a day.
The GOP is expert at keeping the clock winding just ahead of where it'd be correct. :) Seriously now...
Bush the Elder, who derided supply side economics and signed anti-gun laws. Bob "Talking in the third person about his limpdick" Dole. Bush the Younger, who gave us Medicare Part D and the Patriot Act. John "Reaching across the aisle" McCain. And Mitt freaking Romney, a man so universally disliked by the base he couldn't manage to get out the vote against Obama.
Dubya came the closest but even he was not well liked.

Coming soon, Chris "Freedom is dangerous" Christie

The third term, Constitution be darned, desperate times need bold action. The DNC will go along with the eternal Obama presidency! [tinfoil]

I assume satire. Obama's administration's normal tact is to go cower in fear, shut down anything that may be attacked and deeply apologize to anyone attacking. You really think they'd go toe to toe with the entire country against a Third Term? Lotta people thought Bush was stupid and/or crazy enough to try. I doubted that one back then, and I doubt this conspiracy theory thought as well.

Heard that conspiracy theory with Clinton. Some rebranded it under Bush's regime.
I call baloney.
Obama is an empty suit. Incompetent. A leftistloon. Whatever.
But even Obama isn't going to so blatently shred the Constitution.
He doesn't have to; he's too damned good at doing it subtly.
But he won't go for a third term.
(THANK GOD)

However, I wouldn't put it past Obama's supporters to start a movement to repeal the 22nd Amendment. Narcissist that he is, I'm sure he'd love it. Though, if they are going to do it, they need to start soon to have any chance at success before the 2016 election.
