Title: Hey NC folks, watch out. Armed double homicide suspect on the loose

Sounds like he's killed (or injured, not real clear) a cop and taken their weapon. Hide yo kids, hide yo wife, and make sure the shotgun is handy.

Does everybody in that article actually have the same name (or very nearly, anyway), or did the sheriff kill a bunch of people?

This is a case where the news reports should be using all three of the person's names so that furrin readers can keep score properly.  They should use all three names every time the person is referred to.

If you think this was bad, consider the two different families in the Shenandoah Valley that frequently get in the news together (feudin' or stealin' from each other).  The low-life family ends their name with "tt" while the socially acceptable family spells their name with only one "t".  Due to the Southronese of both families it is not infrequent that Donnie Ray two-t and Donnie Ray one-t are involved in some event that draws the Sherrif's attention.  Everybody living within a 10-mile radius knows who is who and which one was most likely the instigator/criminal but let a report slip out of the Valley to some Big City newspaper/TV report and all a scorecard needs to be issued if you want to keep up.

I'm pretty sure the same applies to many other communities made up of mostly folks from one heritage.

stay safe.

I not only want to know their full names, but the status of their citizenship.

Don't you mean the status of their legal eligibility to vote?

I can guarandamntee you they were borned inside the borders of the USA to spawning units that were also borned inside the borders of the USA.

I can also just about guarandamntee you that prior to (as opposed to newspeak's "previous to") this incident a judge made a ruling that at least legally made them ineligible to vote or hold public office.

stay safe.

If it's the family I'm thinking of, do they include the second "b" or not?

That, too.  I apologize in advance, and I pride myself on being an egalitarian and being a bit "scientifically detached" about many cultural things, but working in a "Refuge City" like Denver, I have become a bit "postjudiced."

Scientifically so.

As opposed to pre-judiced.

That's it.

Lemme see.

Nope.  Seems not.

But then the only thing this demonstrates is that I am not aquainted with all of the low-life families in The Valley.  I rely on a friend of mine (yes, I have more than one.  More than two, as well.) for the dope on such folks.

stay safe.

He's dead.

"Dead" as in "been killed already", or "dead" as in "dead but doesn't know it yet"?
