Title: UFO violates Mississippi deer hunting regs.
Post by: gunsmith on April 06, 2014, 12:57:18 AM

UFO violates Mississippi deer hunting regs.
Alien invaders were captured ( on film ) using lights to hunt deer in Mississippi, as of this time the culprits are reportedly escaping at near light speeds.

A thousand anecdotes do not a reason for scientific investigation make.  Nay, not even a million.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_UFO_sightings

(^ A somewhat challengeable compendium of incidents over the centuries.)

(^ A double genuine* PhD discussing the matter.)

Now I ain't sayin' "Hey!" and I ain't sayin' "Nay!" but something goofy** seems to be going on.

I'm reminded of the title of one of C. S. Lewis' books a book I have,"Evidence Which Demands A Verdict."  (Edited to accommodate a later suggestion about the author.)

* By "genuine," I mean in the physical sciences, not PhDs in basket-weaving or skateboarding.

** "Goofy" is used here in its rigidly-defined technical sense.

Actually that was Josh McDowell IIRC

^ MmmmOK.  Post edited.  It was the sense of the title which I wanted to point out.

USAF accounts for about 1/3rd. Triangular carbon-fiber stealth blimps, powered by an ionic grid air-mover with no moving parts etc.

The rest is just human imagination/excitability run amok.

In terms of the game cams, that was just moths in the camera frame moving their wings at some fraction of the shutter speed, and not in focus. All sorts of insect eyes reflect just like deer, dog, cat eyes etc.

Just like the people who investigate "rods" have competeley deluded themselves of the confulence of insect wing beats, focal length, and frame rate.  :P

A certain missing 777, perhaps.   [tinfoil]

What about 1:34 in the video?  I haven't seen anything that can get that close to a wild whitetail with a bright light and not spook it away.

Because it was a bug lit up by the game cam's IR and not in focus making a blur of light in the frame. The deer wasn't "lit up".

UFOs?  What UFOs?  Didn't see anything out of the ordinary in that video.
