After all his complaints about Republican obstruction this year, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid expressed frustration last night after Republicans helped guarantee a floor vote on a measure he supports.
The Nevada Democrat has accused Senate Republicans of chicanery for voting to advance to the Senate floor a Democratic constitutional amendment allowing Congress to regulate all campaign speech and spending.
After Monday's bipartisan 79-18 vote, Reid vented to reporters that Republicans were trying to "stall" the Senate, indicating that he never intended for the campaign finance amendment by Sen. Tom Udall, D-N.M., to go to a real floor debate.
Well, yes, it is chicanery - of the highest order. It's positively Shakespearean - petards and all.
stay safe.

Pots and kettles can actually provide value, so we need a more relevant analogy.

Vultures are a good thing, they eat up all the dead stuff so it isn't out there stinking.
Maybe dung beetle to the fly larvae, are you going to eat that? "That" being a nice pile of manure.

Is this the same Harry Reid known for numerous accusations of pederasty? And his office merely laughing at the charges? =(

The charges are very serious, you know.

Still are. They're particularly used when reattaching things like fingers; their saliva, which contains an anti-clot compound as well as a vasodilator and an anesthetic, keeps the blood flowing in the reattached piece.

Is that how John Wayne Bobbit got the nickname "Hydra"?

Unfortunately, while he was listing the things they were not discussing in the senate, he didn't mention the well entrenched, and growing police state this country has become. For me, that's a much more important topic than keeping Putin from "invading" neighboring countries. I doubt Cruz as president would have any more interest in ending the 1033 program, or the war on drugs, than our current president.

Also, it looks like Ted got all butthurt when folks did not appreciate him waxing lyrical about threats to Jews at a conference focused on the threats to Christians in the Middle East.

Someone should drop him some cheddar to make his whine go down better.
Note to Ted:
The Jews in the ME are doing just fine. They have their own country & all with modern plumbing, a functioning economy, non-psychotic government, and even nuclear weapons. And the number of Israelis killed by rocket fire from Gaza in all of 2014 is less than the average weekly body count in Chicago.
