History has shown us that evil is only successful when the righteous stand aside and do nothing. Let us show the world that it will not tolerate the likes of ISIS or Boko Haram. That there most certainly are repercussions for committing atrocities. Justice will come to them swift and brutal. Step aside and let us do what is necessary! We stand ready!”
Too bad we don't have leaders in Washington that will let us do our damn job.

Step aside and let us do what is necessary
The very problem is that we will not let our military do what is necessary. When we do send them into combat, it's often with one hand tied behind their back in an effort to wage a "polite" war.
We need to start fighting wars as they should be fought, none of this limited conflict bullshit with ridiculous ROE that has plagued us since Vietnam.

Agreed. War is ugly. If we aren't willing to accept that, don't send them.
Makes me kind of wonder if the frustration over screwed up and politicized ROE's contributes to some of the psyche problems.

Yes.

Top brass are saying we may have to put boots on ground to defeat ISIS/ISIL.
To top that off the President is saying he wants to send upwards to 3000 troops to west Africa to help with the Ebola problem. You are talking a BDE's worth of logistics and medical people plus security. Who thinks that will end well?
