As the population ages, cancer diagnoses increase. This is fueling a building boom in cancer treatment facilities.

Mom=Boomer with multiple cancers, Dad=pre-Boomer with cancer. I don't expect I'll live long enough, but if I happen to I imagine I'm on a clock.
In general, I encourage medical/MPH students I speak with to seriously consider gerontology and related fields. And we all know cancer research/treatment is and will be steady work absent a serious black swan discovery.

I'm wondering if the large numbers of people with a sizable chunk of the nation's wealth won't help push the discovery of newer, better cancer/aging diseases treatments?
