Title: That's it. No more kashi go lean crunch for me.
Post by: 41magsnub on November 02, 2015, 05:25:14 PM
Been eating it for breakfast for 2 weeks and hoped after I was used to it the gas would stop.  It has gotten worse.  Much worse.

Have you tried Beano?  Or Gas-X?

Not worth it just for a breakfast cereal!

Kashi is edible with enough sugar and other non-healthy stuff added. Brussels sprouts? Not even bacon can make those nasty green balls of bitter misery tolerable.

I've never had noticeable problems with it either; different strokes(and gut bacteria/chemistry) for different folks.

For me (and this is no exaggeration) every 5 minutes or so high volume eye burning gas starting 4 hours after consumption and lasting into early evening.

If you don't really care for your coworkers that could be a plus and not a minus

Hmm.  Sounds useful, in certain circumstances.

Three much more manly flavors, with just as much chewing and gagging.

Carbonated beverages and salads cause me to belch.

Thought you might want to know.

I've got no problems.

I like the GoLean, stuff except that it's too crunchy unless it's soaked in the milk for awhile. Otherwise, I end up making a pained face when I bite down on the really hard crunches.

My issue when I went through my cereal phase wasn't the cereal choices, but the milk. I switched to almond milk and that ended those problems.

I agree with Brad about the original Kashi. It is delicious, but only with more sugar poured on it than you'd get with the good kid's cereal. Same deal with plain cheerio's.

Kashi is truly colon blow.  I get the sort of gas reported.

We have the Kashi bars in the break rooms/kitchens at work.

Gauranteed gas in about 4 hrs.

I usually eat one only intentionally when I'm angry with Mrs. Dual...

I like the cereals, but whatever metabolism problem I have gets hit really hard by those type cereals in particular. Feels like I took a bottle of sleeping pills.

In other words, the original Kashi is no good. Having tried Kashi years ago, and regretting the experience, I was really surprised by how good the Crunch variety is.

Have a handful of sugar-free gummy bears with your breakfast cereal, that should solve your gas problem...

I love Kashi, with vanilla almond milk.

No need for any other sweetener.

Never hadkashi. Protein bars otoh.....
I ate like 4 of them once between work and getting to a baseball game I was coaching. By about the 3rd inning I thought my guts would explode. I barely made it to the crapper which violently got destroyed moments later.

I get only two grams less of fiber per serving in my http://www.malt-o-meal.com/product/frosted-mini-spooners/

Without the super-colon blow results. Maybe try that?
