Officials say the suspect in custody for the shooting that seriously injured a Philadelphia police officer has confessed to the crime, saying he did it 'in the name of Islam.'
Two law enforcement sources tell ABC News that Archer took two recent trips to the Middle East - Saudi Arabia in 2011 for Hajj and Egypt in 2012. However, he was not on a terror watch list.
Ross went on to say that Archer "stopped short of implicating anyone else in the attack," adding Archer was "very evasive."
Officials also say the gun used in the crime, a 9mm Glock 17, had been stolen from a police officer's home in 2013, but it's not clear how it ended up in Archer's hand. That officer had been disciplined, Ross said.
Ross said there was no advance warning to the officer and that the suspect "just started firing."
Police say the suspect fired a total of 13 shots, three of which hit Hartnett in the arm.
Despite being seriously wounded, Hartnett got out of his car, chased the suspect and returned fire, wounding his attacker in the buttocks, police said. Other officers chased Archer and apprehended him.
I didn't see this posted. More of the same. Quick reactions by the officer despite being wounded let them catch the guy. The one quote makes it sound like there were others involved.
Also, the gun used in the crime seems to be a poster child for Obama's gun control claims doesn't it? ;)

Archer allegedly told authorities he targeted an officer because police defend laws that are contrary to the Quran.
Mayor Jim Kenney said the shooting had nothing to do with "being a Muslim or the Islamic faith."

The indictment also alleges that during an interview in October 2015, Al Hardan lied and said he'd never received any type of weapons training, when he allegedly received automatic machine gun training.

I saw an article today where the new mayor of Philly (who looks top be a real piece of work) was quoted as saying this had nothing to do with Islam. Yesterday I saw where he said stuff like this wouldn't happen if people would listen to Obama on guns.

Ben, listen to your betters. Religion means whatever leftists think it should mean. Nevermind that they use left-wing "clergy" to make you look like you're not Christian enough to support their government over-reach today; and then say that religion is antiquated superstition tomorrow. It's best if you just go along with whatever they need you to think at the moment, and try not to think too hard about anything but your own white, male, cis privilege.

If you'll note, it's a pattern:
Conservatives don't REALLY want what's best for the country, they hate ____________ (women, gays, the environment, puppies, etc...)
Muslim terrorists aren't REALLY attacking in the name of Islam, it's because of ________ (poverty, colonialism, patriarchy, etc...)
It's as though the liberals are CERTAIN that whenever someone speaks about their motivations, they are lying.
Now, I'm not saying it's projection....
