Meanwhile, in Finland, using the force is the preferred defensive strategy against rape. In fairness, at the end they allow the Jedi to use her light purse.

OK, I read the comments, and apparently it is not a satirical video. Huh.
-
Is that supposed to be a rapist or a timid purse snatcher?

A weight on the end of a string is remarkably uncontrollable unless it has a handle which is longer than the string.
See "Medieval Mace."
Oh... good luck, Missy, but the Magic of Feminine Energy is not going to cut it for you.

And to think this was put out (phrasing!) by the Finnish police as a self-defense educational measure.

They're about 20 years behind US police forces then. That's when I remember US police advocating much of the same.
The real answer is for the Women to stand up and remove said laws.
And many Europeans are wondering why there's currently a massive conservative movement in their countries?

Yeah, the "Love, Peace, Brotherhood" PC bullsheit is about to come to an end.
"It takes a village" to rape and pillage another village.

well, at least she didn't pee on him.

If the Finn gov't is not careful, Finns may turn to other gear to set things right.

She didn't appear to have a condom to ask him to put on either.

All of Europe may be ripe for a new unconventional arms self defense manual. Something that could be passed hand to hand among the citizens, or on a thumb drive- all the easy nasty tools and techniques used when firearms are not available.
The will to use them is coming along- eventually the tide of reality will wash away the sand castle of propaganda.

There are plenty of places on the internetz to find materials from Fairbairn-you know, really simple ways to kill/incapacitate people.

For anything even remotely intricate, yes. For just smacking the hell out of someone who doesn't expect it, it's simple. Otherwise blanket parties would have seen a lot more carnage from people hitting each other instead of the guest of honor.
Did some tests on this with a padlock threaded on a scarf, and as long as you're not way out at 4' like a miniature kusarifundo, it works quite well to drastically increase impact force with 6-8 inches of scarf to get the lock swinging hard and fast. Same with a heavy belt buckle or a key lanyard.

You are way overthinking this stuff.
Hold lock in fist using lock shank like a brass knuckle- keep hitting most accessable hard point- rib, knee, elbow, cranium, jaw until problem stops being a problem.

Works well with a normal lock, but with a disc lock or any other shape not conducive to using it that way, it's at best a fistload. Also, if you have any experience at all in working with distance, a six inch reach advantage can be huge.

Not if you're Gogo Yubari...
Wait.
Wrong movie.
And wrong race.
Never mind.

This video is serious, and not satire?
Just a thought . . .
If the police aren't there to apprehend the rapist, they won't be there to apprehend his targeted victim should she use some effective - possibly lethal - form of self defense.

tokugawa spake thusly:
"Eventually the tide of reality will wash away the sand castle of propaganda."
Like.
Hereby stolen.

You'd think so, but given that it's progressive, modern Europe, I doubt it. There might be dribs and drabs of pushing back against it, such as has been the case in France (although largely ineffective due to the far left), but I predict that eventually there will be one of two outcomes...
Total surrender (most likely), or a vicious civil war pitting citizens on one side, extremists on the other, and governments that so hinder and block the citizens that downfall is the only logical outcome. The greater European social state, in its desperate want to be inclusive, encompassing, and tolerant to the point of surrender, is no longer capable of mounting an effective defense of itself.

Lol. I read that blogger sometimes. He was trolling feminists and the satire went 30,000 ft above their little collectivist heads >:D
It has nothing to do with rape rape and everything to do with 'regret' rape.

Anonymous? lol, the cyber criminals who haven't been able to pull off a single cyber crime yet?
He only just proves that the left will use any means possible to squelch free speech that doesn't agree with them.
If the SJW/feminist crowd had studied dead white man literature instead of victim studies, they would understand how his article was satire, but they are terminally ignorant.

Do You're-a-peein's still read dead tree newspapers or magazines?
What about your own set of titanium chopsticks?
Ever put a lanyard on that frickin twee water bottle of yours?
Hell, back when I was travelling my first stop after leaving the airport or train/bus station was to the nearest approximation of a hardware store for a phillips head screwdriver to fix my luggage handle/wheels.
Folks, the hardware is never rocket surgery. It's the software that is is corrupted.
stay safe

Funny you should say that. I first heard about this from a very intelligent, fairly conservative, and very outraged young fellow at the Wednesday night church service. He's probably never heard of Roosh V, or pick-up artistry. He referred to him as "a Muslim."

Never tried titanium, but I did like my set of stainless 2-piece takedown pocket chopsticks for times when I didn't want to buy a whole box of plastic forks to eat lunch at work. Also handy for picking up hot engine bolts and nuts while doing roadside repairs without waiting a couple hours for the car to cool.

Do you know what worked great for roadside repairs for me?
Selling the old hooptie and buying a newer car.

And as soon as I have an unencumbered $750 or so, I will. May even limp this one over to wherever the new one is, park it in the nearest empty parking lot with the keys in the ignition and a note on the seat saying "Enjoy your new car. Good luck fixing that damn engine."
That or strip off the coil pack, alternator, starter, wheels and a few other items and call a scrapyard to come get the rest.

Moved to a new topic.

IIRC, concealed carry was legal in Finland up until 1995 or so. Or, possibly, there was no law or rule against it, so some people carried.
