Those going to Spain or France just don't get it.
Maybe circumstances in Britain are so bad that Spain and France are better, if not great.
Yeah, how does the economy compare to places like Oz, the US, Spain, France? Did they ever climb out of that post-war slump?
We aren't doing all that badly, as a nation, to be honest. A lot of people are simply not happy with paying huge taxes, and not seeing results.
I get taxed about 22% of my wages, on average (Income tax and National Insurance), so I get a bit upset when I see some of the wasteful social programs that they are trying to implement.
Agreed, 22% doesn't seem that high. But what do Britons pay in other taxes?
