Maybe she is a mermaid.

Define "nearly naked" compared to what's fairly common on California beaches.
-
Or more likely, she's someone with mental health issues that may be in physical danger. Or could just have been hypothermic.
-
So, I should call them and ask if they have my daughter, Adella?
Also, how well does she sing?

When I was working the ER on an rez we had a girl come in soaking wet that the BIA cops had pulled out of a shallow ditch behind their cop shop. She also claimed to be a mermaid. I knew she was a little touched when she told me she was pregnant (not showing) and asked if I wanted her baby because it was the "spawn of aliens".
She got to the point of needing 4 point restraints and even then she was rocking the gurney she was on to the point of nearly tipping over. Once we confirmed she was not pregnant the copious amounts of Haldol we gave her allowed her to rest.....yea, that's it....rest.
A few months later she came in and apologized for her behavior and thanked us for taking care of her. It was then I knew without a doubt she was crazy. I mean who comes back to the ER to thank them for care?!?!
In reality she was a fairly nice young lady who just happened to take a break from reality for a while.

Haldol can do the job, yes indeed.

It's one of the 12 steps...

"she is 5-foot-4, weighs about 150 pounds"
Under the limit and out of season for mermaids. Throw her back.

Have any of you ever seen this "documentary"? It was on Discovery Channel a few years ago. It was interesting to watch though all the people in it had hair and looks like actors instead of regular people in documentaries.

That was my first thought, too.

Yeah, that might be the case. She might be a mental patient.
