Title: Time for a Trump fail thread
Post by: Perd Hapley on July 13, 2017, 09:32:57 AM
As a companion to the Trump accomplishment list, we need a list of his and the GOP's failures. Here is the first:

Trump keeps screwing up the War on Women

Quote
At the urging of President Donald Trump, U.S. officials have reversed course and decided to allow into the United States a group of Afghan girls hoping to participate in an international robotics competition next week, senior administration officials told POLITICO on Wednesday.

So far, he has failed to deport all the illegal aliens.

[But he's scared them enough that many are self-deporting anyway.]

And border crossings are way, way, way down...

Seriously, the health care thing and it is not his fault really. We can't go back to do nothing and while it is obvious that Obamacare is a wreck it has not hurt enough people bad enough. He will now wear the blame for the failure designed into the original plan. The other fault is a bunch of nutless wonders who screamed repeal and replace for years but put them in charge and *crickets*. The stupid party doesn't want to lead and they as such are the only real threat to Trump's second term.

^"The stupid party doesn't want to lead and they as such are the only real threat to Trump's second term."

Agreed, and that's why I keep mentioning a third party.  Hopefully, a viable third party, even though I also agree that it's well-nigh impossible.  But it generates a fear factor in the hearts and souls of the Stupid Party.

Also hopefully.

As much as it hurts my libertarian free-trader self to say: A party focused on economic protectionism/mercantilism that didn't get all stupid-crazy about social issues would pull in a lot of people.

I've been reading a lot of protectionist stuff lately and they have some strong, as in really strong, arguments that explain a lot of what's happened to this country and that translate perfectly into campaign planks.

So you could grab workers and business people and seriously cross the political streams if the party was managed properly.

No progress on the wall
Promised to wipe ISIS out in 30 days.  Nope.
No deportations or immigration reform.
Repeal has become "replace with an awful watered down version of the original" and he can't even get that through.
So far, he gets a D-.  Not an F because I enjoy watching him make the liberals go nuts.

Just like the failure to even come close to doing anything useful by the President or the GOP?

If nothing else, the nomination of a decent SC Judge is at least one accomplishment he can claim.  I guess you forgot about that.  The Senate hasn't even approved all of Trump's appointments which says a lot of what the administration has done administratively.

There appear to be a handful of liberal Republicans obstructing things in Congress and the Congressional leadership is too weak or liberal themselves to slap them down.  If that doesn't change, I would love to see Trump get involved in their primary elections and call out them out for it.

Mattis and Gorsuch are wins. everything else is pretty much either terrible or "meh"

I'm loving how much the libtards are freaking out. that counts a LOT in my book

You guys know how to ruin a good thread. Did you really think this thread is for complaining about Trump? There's enough of that going around. Boring; no thanks.

No, this thread is for complaining about how Trump is failing to round up and imprison all the LGBTIIQA5&%$, and failing to put a giant, gold TRUMP sign on the White House.

Does I gots to spell everything out in tiny little words for you schmoes?

Try again ... too many multi-syllabic words.

And border crossings are way, way, way down...

Maybe it's just me, but I think some folks have taken the "wall" as a brick-and-mortar, barbed wire, quad-M2s-every-mile affair a bit too literally.

As much as it hurts my libertarian free-trader self to say: A party focused on economic protectionism/mercantilism that didn't get all stupid-crazy about social issues would pull in a lot of people.

I tend to agree with that, but, as Grampster pointed out, "Stupid Party....remember?"

We've got to start booting out entrenched career politicians of both parties.

Trump failed to warn Chile about the chilly weather so they could stock up on chili.
