Hoban "Wash" Washburne, also known by his lessor name, Alan Tudyk, is apparently a comedian. He is in a new Broadway show comedy with Steve Martin. Ignore the bit about Amy Schumer.

A number of his lesser acting roles have been comedic in nature.
-
Tucker and Dale vs. Evil is hilarious.
-
Steve the Pirate.

Probably his most serious roles were as the assassin on Justified and as Sonny in I, Robot.

He is way more of a pirate than you'll ever be.

A classic.
He did a really good job as the assassin in Justified, but man it was hard for me to separate my expectation of Wash mannerisms. I had no idea he was Sonny. Now I need to watch that movie again.

"I had no idea he was Sonny."
I was pretty startled when I found out. I had no idea.

Interesting from IMDB on his Justified role:
Elias Marcos (as Wray Nerely)
Wonder if that's some kind of an insider alias or something with a meaning? Weird name otherwise.

"Mine is an evil laugh!"
Wash's character was mostly comedic, and Tudyk was brilliant at it.
Of course, his first part (that I ever saw him in) was "A Knight's Tale" and he was also brilliantly hilarious (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgLfOPFpuRY).

It's a reference to Tudyk's web series, Con Man.

He was also great as K2SO in Rogue One.
The scene where he slaps Cassian Andor to make his capture look more realistic to the Stormtroopers was improvised, and Diego Luna was not expecting to get hit. Tudyk reached out and actually slapped him while wearing his spandex CGI suit covered in infra red reflectors and little bar-code markers or whatever.

Apparently he was in Zootopia as well.
Duke Weasleton

He played a slightly unpaired Potassium Sulphate compound?
Odd casting choice.

I am truly looking forward to being on stage with both Alan and Steve.

It's WESELTON!!! (which makes a lot more sense now in Frozen)

He's in Moana, too. He's the chicken. 😂😂😂

He was funny in Death at a Funeral as well. He's done mostly comedic roles for his entire career.
-
So long as we're listing his whole CV (or oeuvre, if that makes me sound smarty-er), he was in that Suburgatory show.
-
Also, the voice of King Candy in Wreck It Ralph. Quite a fun little movie, actually. If you haven't seen it, you should.

He's actually a very well trained actor. I think he got stuck in a lot of little comedic roles early on and got typecast there after since he was just so damn good at it. Which is a pity, IMHO, since he's *expletive deleted*ing brilliant.
As much as I love Wash and Steve, my favorite role of his is Alpha in Dollhouse. Mostly because Alpha is like 50 different personalities in one package and most of them are completely psychotic.
"There are many parts of me that know this is wrong. None of them care. And six... they just find it funny."
