Yep.
Actually, form 4s are turning fast these days. Or was it Form 1s? Anyway, some people get theirs back in just a few weeks.

Don't give the BATFE too much credit. It's not like they developed this system.

Many Orgs don't develop the technical systems they use. Otherwise, I wouldn't have a job. BATFE should get some credit for being open to the idea and willing to remove some of the NFA roadblocks without being forced.

Didn't they used to do electronic or online filing for suppressors? I thought that was ended early in the Obama administration. I could be wrong.

60 seconds spread out to thousands of forms a year will add up.

E-File. They still have it for certain forms, but I think the E-File Form 4 is still out of service.
