So, with my new smartphone that doesn't suck, I need some TV shows to download to watch while I work out, or while I'm travelling. I watched all of Justified over the summer while bicycling at home. Currently downloading the first season of Deadwood. Grand Tour season 2 will be downloaded when it's available in a couple weeks. Beyond that I need some help.

I'm watching Arrested Development and American Horror Story (and Longmire, and finishing-up Breaking Bad) Yeah, I know they are old, but they are new to me.
-
You'll probably need to give us some genre hints.
I'll double down on a couple of bob's - Longmire and Arrested Development. Arrested Development would be good for both working out and traveling. Shorter episodes, and personally, I've probably watched them all five times over and still catch new stuff in the background and new plays on words (they are known for that stuff).
-
Chance with Hugh Laurie. Intense, intelligent, and at times exceedingly violent.
Seal Team with David Boreanz is a fun action/adventure show. Don't know how accurate the Seal bits are but the missions they go on are interesting.
A great new comedy is The Good Place with Kristin Bell and Ted Danson.
The Tank Museum channel on Youtube is outstanding. They talk about tanks that are in their museum.

Dang. Neither are free with Prime. Need to check Netflix.

Only episode 1 of Chance is free on Prime. Need to look up the others.

Netflix has Longmire.
Appreciate the recommendations. More is good, as I'll come back to this thread periodically.

Firefly
NCIS
NCIS New Orleans
BBT

Narcos
Mindhunter

Boardwalk Empire

the new Punisher series on Netflix.

Znation: it’s super cheesy and yet highly amusing
Dark Matter
The Expanse

Yeah, I'll second that one as well. I'm only three in, but I like it.
I'll also agree with Jamis on Dark Matter, The Expanse (one of SyFy's best) and then also Killjoys. All have episodes available on Netflix.
Edit: Sorry, some may just be Netflix DVD, not streaming. Can't remember off the top of my head.
Edit 2: Also may be Amazon instead of Netflix. I have both, I'm an old man, and I get confused.

Narcos
Good, but unless you know Spanish might be a little hard to follow while working out.

New western on Netflix called Godless. I'm 4 episodes in, good so far. Stars Jeff Daniels and Mary Dockery. She was one of the sisters on Downton Abbey, so to watch her as an 1880's rancher is fun..

I might need to check it out then. The previews I saw were a little off-putting as they seemed sort of "Lena Dunham girl power". I don't care if the lead or the cast are men or women, as long as they're not shoving social issues down my throat. Make a good western and cast whoever you want in it, and I'm sold.

Watched the first episode of The Punisher this morning while on the exercycle. Liking that one.
Will also look into Godless.
-
Dad thinks I would like Godless.
He also binged out on the Punisher.
I'm waiting for Bright. I hope it's as good as it looks like it'll be.

Black Sails is pretty awesome.
-
Ozark on Netflix
-
Outsiders on Hulu
Was a WGN series, but cancelled after the 2nd season.
-
For fantasy MSNBC or CNN...snort...sorry. Couldn't help myself.

Finished it last night and I liked it. Slow pacing at times, but good acting and hats, horses and guns..

Vikings. It's "historical" fiction in the loosest sense of the term. First three seasons are excellent. Fourth season was alright. The fifth season just started airing, but I'm not going to watch it until they've released enough to binge watch it.
Stranger Things. It's a Netflix original and fun to watch.

All my posts in this thread are "+1".
Vikings is great. I also agree on the quality of the seasons. Not sure I like the trend that started in season 4.

I lost interest after they went to Paris, just got really weird.

Babylon 5 is on "go90". Not sure if you can download it for watching, though.

Ha! +1 again!
One of my favorite Science Fiction shows. Though they suffer from the curse of Babylon 5, in which like half the stars of the series died early deaths. I blame the Shadows.

How about radio shows? http://www.cbsrmt.com/synopsis.html/1974
I used to listen to these all the time in the 70's; I need to download a bunch for road-trips.

I burned out on Vikings when it hit season 3. I ended up rewatching Gilmore Girls instead.
Another one you might like if you haven't seen it already is Spartacus. The first season and the prequel season are good. The second season... Well, it's alright. Plus, "Jupiter's cock!" is like one of the best expletives ever.
If your manhood can stand it, you might want to try Gilmore Girls. Seriously, it's one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. I would totally live in Star's Hollow. It's one of the ones Dad inadvertently got into because of me.

Saw a few episodes many years ago when SWMBO had it on. Meh. Certainly not going to go through the bother of downloading them.

Resurrecting this thread because my wife and I just finished 'Godless' last night. What a well-written and acted show. We give it two thumbs up, and wish there were more Westerns on these days.
-
Wife and I binged Godless a while back. We both really enjoyed it.

Wife and I are currently re-watching Sons of Anarchy. We're seeing some good stuff we missed the first time around.

Didn't reread this thread to see if it's been suggested or not
Bosch from amazon prime...gritty crime drama. Good *expletive deleted*it.

This, in spades. Michael Connelly is heavily involved in the production of the series, which helps keep things true to the theme of the books.

Altered Carbon.
I really liked it.
